Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how ChatDeck handles information when you use our website, browser extension, and related services.

Effective date: September 9, 2026Last updated: September 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to ChatDeck's website, browser extension, software, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). In this policy, "ChatDeck," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the operator of the ChatDeck Services.

Privacy principle: ChatDeck only accesses and processes information that is reasonably necessary to provide the features you choose to use. We do not sell your personal information or use your ChatGPT conversation content for targeted advertising.

1. Information We Collect

The information ChatDeck handles depends on which features you use. It may include the following categories.

Account and contact information

If you create an account, contact us, or use features that require identification, we may receive information such as your email address, account identifier, and information you provide in support requests or other communications.

Chat and user-generated content

To provide features such as conversation organization, search, saved prompts, saved responses, filtering, exporting, and related productivity tools, the ChatDeck extension may access information displayed within supported ChatGPT pages that you interact with.

This may include conversation titles, prompts, responses, message text, conversation identifiers, and related metadata when those items are required for a feature you use.

Extension settings and locally stored data

ChatDeck may store preferences and feature data in browser storage, such as extension settings, interface preferences, saved items, feature toggles, and organizational information.

Technical information

We may process limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Services. This can include browser type, extension version, application errors, timestamps, IP address, and basic request or diagnostic information.

2. How We Use Information

We use information only for legitimate purposes related to operating ChatDeck, including to:

  • Provide ChatDeck's conversation organization, search, saving, filtering, productivity, and related features.
  • Maintain user preferences and extension settings.
  • Authenticate users and provide access to Free or Pro features where applicable.
  • Verify purchases and activate paid features.
  • Maintain the security and reliability of the Services.
  • Diagnose errors and prevent abuse, fraud, or unauthorized access.
  • Respond to support inquiries and communicate about the Services.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.
  • Improve features using information that is necessary for the operation and performance of ChatDeck.

3. ChatGPT and Page Content

ChatDeck is designed to enhance your experience while using ChatGPT. Certain features therefore require the extension to interact with content displayed on supported ChatGPT pages.

ChatDeck limits its access and use of this information to providing the user-facing features described in the extension and its Chrome Web Store listing.

We do not sell ChatGPT conversation content, use it to build advertising profiles, or transfer it to data brokers.

Where information can be processed locally within your browser, ChatDeck may use local browser storage. If a feature requires communication with ChatDeck servers or another service needed to provide that feature, the necessary information may be securely transmitted for that purpose.

4. Browser Extension Data

The ChatDeck browser extension requests only permissions needed to provide its current functionality. Depending on the version and features enabled, permissions may allow ChatDeck to interact with supported websites, save settings, or perform extension functionality initiated by you.

We do not request browser permissions solely for future, unrelated, advertising, or data-broker purposes.

If a future version introduces a feature requiring additional permissions or materially different data use, we will update our disclosures and request any consent required before using the information for that purpose.

5. Payment Information

ChatDeck may offer paid features, including ChatDeck Pro. When cryptocurrency payments are used, we may process and retain information necessary to verify the payment and activate your purchase.

This information may include:

  • Payment invoice or order identifier.
  • Blockchain wallet address.
  • Cryptocurrency amount and token.
  • Blockchain network.
  • Transaction hash.
  • Payment status.
  • Payment and confirmation timestamps.

Blockchain transactions are recorded on public decentralized networks. Information written to a public blockchain may be publicly visible and generally cannot be altered or deleted by ChatDeck.

ChatDeck does not require your wallet seed phrase or private wallet recovery phrase to verify a payment. You should never send those credentials to us or anyone claiming to represent ChatDeck.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

Information may be shared only when reasonably necessary in circumstances such as:

  • With infrastructure, hosting, database, network, blockchain RPC, security, or other service providers needed to operate ChatDeck.
  • When you explicitly direct or authorize a feature that requires interaction with another service.
  • To investigate security incidents, fraud, abuse, or violations of our terms.
  • When required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of business assets, subject to applicable privacy requirements.

Service providers that process information on our behalf are expected to use that information only for the services they provide to ChatDeck and subject to appropriate contractual or security obligations where applicable.

7. Chrome Web Store Limited Use

Chrome Web Store User Data Policy

ChatDeck's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs and the Chrome platform will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

In particular, data accessed through browser extension permissions is used only to provide or improve ChatDeck's disclosed user-facing functionality, maintain security, comply with applicable law, and perform closely related operational functions.

We do not use extension user data for personalized advertising, sell it to advertising platforms or data brokers, or allow humans to read private user content except where you provide specific consent, where required for security or abuse investigation, or where required by law.

8. Storage and Retention

Some ChatDeck information may be stored locally in your browser. Other information may be stored on systems used to provide the Services when server-side storage is required.

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain security and records, fulfill purchases, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations.

Locally stored extension data may remain in your browser until it is deleted through ChatDeck, browser settings, or extension removal, depending on how the browser manages extension storage.

Certain records, including blockchain transaction information and records required for accounting, fraud prevention, or legal compliance, may need to be retained for longer periods.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or misuse.

These measures may include encrypted network connections, access controls, restricted application permissions, secure infrastructure practices, and other safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information.

No internet service or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device, browser profile, ChatGPT account, wallet credentials, and other account credentials.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, applicable privacy law may provide rights regarding your personal information. These may include the right to:

  • Request information about personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of certain personal information.
  • Request a copy of certain information.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Exercise applicable rights without unlawful discrimination.

Some rights are subject to exceptions under applicable law. We may also need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

11. Third-Party Services

ChatDeck operates alongside third-party products and services, including web browsers, ChatGPT, blockchain networks, hosting providers, network infrastructure, and other technologies.

Those third parties may independently collect or process information under their own terms and privacy policies. ChatDeck does not control the privacy practices of third-party services.

ChatDeck is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI unless expressly stated otherwise.

12. Children's Privacy

ChatDeck is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to ChatDeck in violation of applicable law, please contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.

13. International Users

ChatDeck may be used by people in different countries. Information may therefore be processed in jurisdictions other than the one in which you live.

Where required, we take appropriate measures intended to protect personal information when it is transferred across borders.

For users in jurisdictions such as the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, processing may be based on grounds including performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing the Services, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where consent is required.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as ChatDeck evolves or as legal, technical, or operational requirements change.

When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date shown at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we may provide additional notice where appropriate or required.
